THE DELUXE IS HERE
I am thrilled to share the deluxe version of I'm Glad I Stayed with you. I had four more songs that I wrote late in the process for the album, so they didn't make the cut, but I just had to share them with you. I also found the original worktape of Villain in my archives and I couldn't believe how much this song evolved. I decided to add that to the album, as a way to show how much a song can change. I hope you enjoy these bonus songs as much as I do.
MY DEBUT ALBUM IS HERE
Since I started releasing music, I knew I wanted to put out an album. So last March, I sat down with Craig and Alyssa, and I brought them around 10 songs, and most of them were scrapped. We tossed around an EP, we tossed around just doing singles, and ultimately decided to just start setting up studio time and go from there. Then we lost Craig. And the world stopped for me for about two months. But thanks to the support of so many incredible people, this project got put back on the table. And now just over a year later, it is yours.
This project would not have been possible without the amazing group of women I got to work with. I intentionally decided to create a project using only women in the industry, as I was becoming frustrated with constantly being the only woman in many of the rooms. Thank you to Alana Velvis for the unbelievable drums. Thank you to Hallie for the killer guitars. Thank you to Amy for your impeccable mastering. Thank you to my little sister Anna for helping with photos and to my cousin Colleen, who always gives her astute graphic design input on everything I do. But above all, this project wouldn’t be possible without Alyssa Trahan. Not only did she co-produce this project with me, she played multiple instruments, coached me through my vocals, gave emotional support along the way, shot the album photos, and just is one of the best people in this business. This album would not exist without you, Alyssa, and I will forever be grateful for you.
There have been many moments in my life when I didn’t think I would make it. This album chronicles the past year of my life, which tested me in ways nothing else has. It has taken me a long time to appreciate the life I was given, but I am so very glad I stayed.
MY BACKSTORY
Miggie Snyder is a singer/songwriter and musical artist based in Nashville, TN. She was born in the suburbs of Chicago, IL and began writing music at a young age. She spent her childhood performing in a variety of choirs, show choirs, and musicals. A highlight of her youth was performing at Carnegie Hall when she was 15 years old, with the Honors Performance Series Choir. She went to college at Western Michigan University where she graduated summa cum laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre Performance and a minor in Non-Profit Administration. She performed professionally in a number of musicals before the pandemic hit in 2020, including at Dunes Summer Theatre, the Show Palace Dinner Theatre and the Round Barn Theatre at Amish Acres. She has also been featured in the webseries Baked With Good Intentions on Youtube, a show written, directed, and produced by Jack Kison and Jono Mammel.
When the pandemic hit, she threw herself into writing. Her debut single "Paris" released in May of 2020 and quickly gained attention on social media. Her next single "Legend Lake" catapulted her career, going viral on TikTok and accumulating over 5 million views. The song has now reached over 1.5 million streams on streaming platforms. In 2021, she released my debut EP titled "Beginning" featuring six original songs self-written and co-produced with Craig Wilson and Chris Benelli. Her next viral moment came with her single "music man" which released in the spring of 2022 and gained over 10 million views on social media. In the summer of 2022, Miggie went on a Midwest tourm, playing in venues in Missouri, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Iowa. In 2024, she released her Debut Album "I'm Glad I Stayed", which featured 10 original songs. She played an album release show at The Local in Nashville, TN to a standing room only. She followed this release with a deluxe version of the album, releasing another 4 original songs and the first work tape of her song "Villain".
